If my country songs are the front porch and the watering hole, my alternative songs are the midnight kitchen, the rainy window, and the road you take when you don’t know where you’re going — but you know you have to go.

I’m a poet first. Always have been. Before the chorus, there was the line that wouldn’t leave me alone. My alternative work lives in that space — where a feeling doesn’t fit into a three-minute radio box, where a story wants to wander, whisper, and sometimes ache a little.Being a Gemini, I’ve never been good at staying in one lane. I dabble — happily — in a vast variety of subject material.

One day it’s a honky-tonk anthem, the next it’s a moody, atmospheric reflection like Echoes in the Rain, born from words that just wouldn’t leave me alone on a rainy afternoon. That’s the beauty of alternative: it lets you be all the versions of yourself at once.
